Position Overview

iHeartMedia is looking for a talented Sr. Scrum Master to work with our Engineering & Systems Integration teams to support iHeartMedia IT initiatives. The Sr. Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring that the agile process is followed across all assigned agile teams. Working closely with the appropriate IT leadership, these leaders will help remove impediments, foster the environment for high performance, continuous flow and relentless improvement. The successful execution of this role will combine passion for delivering on time and with quality, excellent team collaboration skills and the ability to coach teams for the adoption and mastery of agile practices.

Responsibilities:

* Leads the agile process across assigned team(s).
* Manages all scrum activities to coordinate progress in agile teams, both internal at iHeartMedia and those sourced from resource augmentation partners
* Administers the basic scrum cadence (backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand up, demo, retrospective)
* Minimizes bureaucracy while providing excellent reporting and status visibility
* Champions the adoption of common agile tools and methodologies
* As a member of the PMO organization, marry the agile and waterfall worlds, where needed
* Defines with the team(s), agile productivity KPIs and ensures continuous progress
* Partnering with the Product Owner, ensures the team understands the objectives/goals and (changing) priorities of scope.
* Provide constant guidance to the team(s), fostering the continued growth of the agile mindset.
* Understand the big-picture view and think beyond the day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience with Agile, specifically as a Scrum Master.
* 5+ years of experience in IT involving process improvement, project management or requirements analysis or management.
* Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion (e.g., on time, within budget).
* Exhibits lean Agile servant leadership.
* Ability to facilitate meetings with all levels of the organization and lead teams through the 5 levels of Agile Planning.
* Ability to work across multiple teams for cross dependency coordination, communication, and work tracking.
* Ability to lead software developers and manage peers through influence, persuasion, and facilitation.
* Ability to establish a data-driven culture and a repeatable, structured and disciplined approach to the scrum process.
* Ability to facilitate the team to find solutions and remove impediments for the teams.
* Ability to manage the dependencies between team capacity, prioritization, budget, software quality and committed deadlines.
* Ability to orchestrate and manage sprints in Jira, Slack and other agile tools to minimize bureaucracy and accelerate the flow of information in the organization.

Experience:

* B.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
* PMI-ACP or equivalent certification preferred.
* PSM I or PSM II certification preferred.
* Experience in scaling Agile teams.
* Experience with Virtual Agile Task boards and PPM toolsets.
* Experience coaching and mentoring peers to build high performing Agile teams.
