Overview:
File Maintenance personnel are responsible for the processing and tracking of documentation pertaining to security background investigation requests from military, civilian and industrial sources.
Responsibilities:
* Track files released to other facilities;
* Conduct a biannual file audit and report findings to the USG;
* Create and maintain files as required;
* File correspondence and documentation;
* Archive any purged the files of individuals who have been debriefed;
* Manage files that require expedited processing;
* Assist with general office duties including photocopying, faxing, packing, data entry, and mailing documents;
* Maintain confidentiality of assets and information pertaining to personnel security;
* Capable of reaching over their heads and bending to the floor to retrieve files;
* Transport files from the customer facility to the archive facility located offsite.
* Participates in special projects as required.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
Qualifications:
* 2 years of related administrative experience, preferably in the industrial security field.
* Demonstrated experience with current version of Microsoft Office Suite
* Demonstrated customer service skills
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
* Experience in processing personnel records as they relate to background investigations
* Working knowledge of ICD 704 and E.O. 12968 guidelines
Database data entry skills
* Ability to elicit, articulate, and document information in a well-organized manner
* Ability to learn various databases during performance of the contract
* Prioritize competing tasks and possess effective time management skills.
