The Role:
As the Manager, Consumer Insights, you work with the Demand Sciences (Insight & Analytics) team influence decisions with rigorous insights that achieve results. Reporting to the Director, Consumer Insights, you will support projects driving different investigative research activities to establish our brands' growth opportunities with regard to brand renovation, expansion, new products, shopper/channels and marketing strategy. You will uncover compelling consumer, category, shopper and brand insights, and ensure insights are used in growth strategies, new products, and marketing/activation plans.
What You'll Do:
* Establish yourself as a strategic partner with Brand Directors and managers, R&D directors, Customer leaders and the Marketing team.
* Translate insights into top and bottom line growth.
* Create an agile, analytically-driven approach to identifying business opportunities for growth; develop learning plan, analyzes and communicates learning related to CAG brands' present and future position in the marketplace.
* Advise on strategic issue development to be addressed in annual operating and strategic business plan, serving as a consumer and shopper partner.
* Lead synthesis and communication of market, retailer and consumer trends; ensure relevant trends are acted upon in brand product and marketing strategies.
* Identify and develop new and renovated products to support our growth.
* Lead the sourcing, interpretation and application of marketplace and consumer learning to develop marketing strategy and refine activation for prioritized brands.
* Drive application of a comprehensive range of research methodologies and suppliers, continuous improvement in techniques and cost.
* Apply our portfolio segmentation principles with regard to resource allocation, investments and the types of engagements with the brands.
What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience producing high-quality, well-regarded insights and analytics work, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry.
* Experience delivering applicable recommendations, influencing decisions, and improving results
* Experience turning insights into actions with our brands, retailers, marketing and R&D
* Experience driving business model and influencing the matrix across brand, marketing, customer and R&D
* Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative insights tools and processes
* Experience working with multiple third-party suppliers ensuring they are aligned to our deliverables and they are driving impactful outcomes
* Experience explaining difficult concepts and insights in simple, applicable business terms
