Job Description

Our Miami Global Forwarding Air Gateway office (located in Medley, FL) is seeking a Senior Global Forwarding Air Gateway Agent for their export gateway team. The Senior Gateway Agent is an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. This individual will multi-task and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment while providing best-in-class customer service. The Agent evaluates customers needs and ensures the most efficient transportation of goods.



Responsibilities:

* Effectively negotiate rates with airlines
* Coordinate cargo bookings and shipment needs
* Coordinate airline deliveries with CCSF and cut documents accordingly
* Understand each assigned customers business model and how that applies to logistics needs
* Conduct shipment-level analysis and monitor carrier performance
* Respond to office inquiries and follow-up to ensure issue resolution
* Collaborate with support staff, overseas offices and other third parties to ensure efficiency, continued exemplary customer service, and relationship development
* Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments for proper billing of shipments
* Arrange import shipment transfers to our warehouse partners facility and communicate availability with the network
* Ensure adherence to customer SOPs, government agency regulations, and C.H. Robinson company standards
* Perform other duties and projects as assigned



Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 4 years' air import/export experience
* High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
* Booking shipments with airlines
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills and phone etiquette
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
* Exceptional customer service skills and meticulous follow up
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
* Certified to handle hazardous materials/dangerous goods a plus
