Back End Developer

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity not just to develop software, but to build a system that will be used to improve long range precision fires (LRPF) in multi-domain operations? As a back-end developer, your responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, and building navigation components in a fast-paced, agile environment. Were looking for a developer with the skills needed to build a next generation LRPF solution that takes advantage of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).

This role is more than just coding. We need a back end developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement innovative solutions, and mentor teammates. Using Agile life cycle development, youll build a near real-time platform that coheres tactical- and national-level information to expedite decisions. Using full life cycle development following Agile methodology and test-driven development, youll work with the development team to build a near real-time platform that coheres tactical- and national-level information to expedite decisions. Youll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution youre developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have:

* 1+ years of experience working with Java
* Experience with frameworks and libraries, including Spring, Hibernate, Grails, Angular, React, or Ajax
* Experience with relational databases, including Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
* Experience with Docker containers
* Experience with creating RESTful web services using APIs
* Experience with Linux
* Secret clearance
* HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

* Experience with Kubernetes
* Experience with development on a cloud infrastructure
* Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Puppet, Git, Gradle, Bamboo, Ansible, Nagios, Chef, or Nexus
* Experience with automating test scripts
* Experience with SOLR or Elasticsearch
* Experience with security tools, such as LDAP, PKI certificates, Active Directory, or X509 protocols
* Experience with network devices and services
* Experience with requirements review
* Knowledge of the SDLC and Agile methodology
* Amazon Web Services and Cloud Certification
