Job Purpose

We are looking to bring in Appian/Java Change Management Developer under Global Finance Technology to help the implementation, enhancement and maintenance of next generation Digital Automation Platform. The candidate is required to possess relevant application development, enhancement and maintenance experience in the distributed systems Eco-System and should be a strong team player. Exposure to Retail Banking products or Wholesale/Investment banking is preferred.

This is a significant opportunity for an experienced technologist with experience in low code automation platforms to move into a role working with a variety of development teams, including close collaboration with Finance and Risk Shared Services.

What we offer

GFT Finance Services Automation platform is a global application in Global Functions Technology built for providing low code automation services. The application is built for Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS) global team (spread across centres in APAC and NAM) to automate thousands of manual processes that are required to complete as part of daily/month/quarter-end close process. Application will be integrated with numerous finance applications to send and receive data and ultimately will allow FRSS Power Users to participate in workflow development and process modeling. The FINSAP team is the global center for the creation of automation workflows, supported by teams in NAM, Costa Rica, Tampa and India.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in development of solutions/platforms for Financial markets low code development environment. It is expected that you will have superior technical knowledge of current programming languages, technologies and other leading edge development tools

Be part of Strategic team to develop, enhance, support and maintain solutions for Finance Technology

Participate in technical discussions/brainstorming sessions and define ideas and strategies for existing and future platforms

Gain exposure to Wholesale, Retail business across data, risk and finance

Work across diverse set of Finance platforms and have an opportunity to be part of re-architecture and re-platforming initiatives on low code automation platforms.

Responsibilities

Solving high priority and critical JIRAs raised by end users ranging from small bug fixes to application augmentation and expedite the delivery.

Help build continuous integration environment and engage in end-to-end system development processes

Ensure that application development and enhancement is in line with Citis Coding Standards.

Partners with multiple technology teams like QA, Finance and Risk Shared Services, BAs and Release Management to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identifies and defines necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements.

Provide development support as L3 developer of high impact and highly critical problems / projects with considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.

Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of applications programming.

Implement and follow standards for coding, testing, code review, debugging and implementation.

Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery.

Must Have Skills

* Minimum 5+ years of IT experience.
* Working knowledge of Appian low code platform
* Good knowledge of the product including BPM Fundamentals, Architecture Components, Technical Features such as Designer Features, Configurations in Appian etc.
* Good understanding of database concepts and strong working knowledge any one of the major databases e g Oracle SQL Server MySQL
* Should have good knowledge of Java, JSON, XML, XSLT etc.
* Experience in SCMs like GIT; and tools like JIRA
* Experienced with automated build and test processes
* Ability to lead discussions and prepare product evaluation criteria
* Appian Certification is plus
