Senior Director, Software Engineering - Enterprise Products & Platforms

Responsibilities:

* Provide technical leadership to a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle

* Ability to work independently in a fast paced, unstructured environment

* Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality and time to market imperatives

* Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of team solutions

* Bring a passion to stay on top of technology trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology groups, and mentor other members of the engineering community

* Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree

* At least 9 years experience writing open source code in Java

* At least 8 years experience in people management leading software and data engineering teams

* At least 7 years of of experience architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software applications and reusable software libraries on AWS cloud

Preferred Qualifications:

* Masters Degree

* 12+ years experience in leading software or data engineering teams

* 9+ years experience driving data transformation initiatives

* 7+ years of building web APIs for high-throughput systems

* 5+ years of writing back-end systems in open source languages such as Java and Go

* 3+ years building large data sets in Cassandra

* 2+ years of experience with Kafka

* 2+ years of building microservices deployed as containers on Kubernetes
