Job Summary:
The holder of this position will be responsible for working on and around the aircraft. He/She will be responsible for running daily aircraft tests and operations, along with keeping proficient records of the aircraft status.
Job Responsibilities:
* Makes necessary layouts, fabricates and fits component parts
* Installs, fits, and adjusts all types of parts and assemblies where difficult and diversified installations, alignments or adjustments are necessary
* Performs difficult repairs and alterations per design changes, removing the required parts and making replacements
* Required to work from blueprints or projects sketches and templates without the use of jigs or fixtures
* Should be able to perform a majority of the assembly operations on all parts of the aircraft as well as required fixture and bench assembly operations.
* Works to crew loads and follows written and verbal work instructions
* Required to perform scheduled/unscheduled inspections.
* Possible installation of Gearboxes, Drive shafts, Fuel Systems, Electrical harnesses and Systems, Hydraulic Components, and other Systems.
* Functional Testing of certain Systems.
* Drilling close tolerance holes using a variety of hand drills/power feed drills.
* Multiple types of fastener installations in composite and sheet metal.
* May require some composite and fiberglass bond layup or repair.
