Job Duties:

* Creating systems software for IBM AIX Operating System and IBM Power Cloud which run IBM Power Systems Servers. Our enterprise level servers meet todays workload demands and deliver increased security, rapid scalability, high availability and simplified management. They provide the IT infrastructure needed for cognitive workloads.
* Contribute to Software Architectures and drive requirements into products & solutions
* Take a leadership role in software design, implementation and testing
* Partner with other technology teams to ensure integrated end-to-end design and integration
* Manage technical priorities, deadlines and deliverables
* Create new ways to solve software development issues
* Design and code software features including:
* Operating systems features such as:
* Kernel and Kernel extension software
* Virtualization features
* Security
* File Systems
* Device Drivers
* Image management
* Packaging
* Full-stack Cloud features

As a leader of the software development team, you will be expected to work autonomously and deliver on project phases on time and on budget. We will help you achieve your goals by continuous professional development and regular career progression sessions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in C/C++ programming OR
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Python, Javascript/Typescript, Angular.js, ReactJS
* Demonstrated experience in full-stack development and UNIX/Linux
* Demonstrated experience in operating systems or cloud architectures
* Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level software development
* Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing issues

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Understanding of IBMs Power Hardware, Hypervisor technologies, Shell Scripting, Java programming
