Duties include:
* Working closely with a Senior Project Architect / Project Manager, independently prepare and present client focused design solutions to project team members.
* Will manage all phases of project execution from site surveying and initial scoping, through contract documents, to construction administration including bulletins, PAA and COs.
* Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions.
* Manage Architectural teams as well as Structural, M, E, P and FP consultants
* May coordinate and collaborate in activities with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally.
* Prepare projects specifications, estimate and expedite process for smaller scale projects.
* Will be fully involved in BCC, DOB, & FDNY filing.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor of Architecture or related degree and a minimum of 4+ years of professional related experience working on multi-scale K-12 and Higher Education projects as well as with other NYC and NYS Agencies or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
* Must have Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Sketch Up (or similar) skills, as well as MS Office, including Excel and Power Point.
Preferred Qualifications
* Professional experience working on multi-scale projects for the NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) is strongly desired
* Able to develop and document details to communicate design intent
* Familiar with FSEP/FPP, ECCC, LEED, NYC SCA GSG, NYC BC, SCA Standards, SCA Design Requirements, and SCA Procedures.
* Project management experience in implementing project workplans and complying with project budget
* Leadership skills and be capable and eager to connect Junior and Senior team members within the office and remotely
* Registered Architect is a plus.
