Were proud to partner with NSBE on the Integrated Pipeline Program and invite you to learn more about this exciting partnership to help Engineering graduates capable of entering the STEM pipeline by providing retention activities for participating schools, partnering with NSBE chapter engagement at participating schools and training focused on strategic non-cognitive skills development for participating scholars.

Our 10-12 week paid internship provides you with projects that match your interests and studies and abilities. A focus of our program is training, coaching and development, as well as networking events. For successful participants, we are prepared to offer full-time, temporary employment at one of our Columbus, IN locations.

Qualifications

Skills/Experience/Program Criteria:

* Howard University or Purdue University Student

* Must be a NSBE member who is majoring in one of the following fields of study towards a bachelors degree to participate in the program:

* Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Software Engineering.

* Purdue University Applicants Only: Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering Technology.

* A minimum 3.0 GPA

* Target Timeframe of Internship: May 2020 through August 2020

Cummins Inc. designs, manufactures, distributes, and services diesel and natural gas engines, and powertrain-related component products worldwide. The Power Systems segment offers back-up and prime power generators, controls, paralleling systems, and transfer switches, as well as A/C generator/alternator products under the Stamford, AVK, and Markon brands. The Electrified Power segment provides electric and hybrid powertrain systems; and battery modules, packs, and systems for commercial, industrial, and material handling applications. The company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers, dealers/distributors, and end users. The company was formerly known as Cummins Engine Company and changed its name to Cummins Inc. in 2001. Cummins Inc. was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Columbus, Indiana.
