Canyon Creek Behavioral Health:

Canyon Creek Behavioral is open and serving the behavioral health needs of adolescents and adults in Temple, Texas and all surrounding areas of Central Texas. Our behavioral health center will provide treatment options for individuals struggling with psychiatric health, chemical dependency and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression.

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Therapist conducts individual and family assessments, develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan as part of an inter-disciplinary team, consults with psychiatrists, medical doctors, or other specialists concerning treatment plan and amends plan as necessary, develops and facilitates prescribed clinical services, documents interventions along with patient responses and progress, and provides referrals to outside resources. Supports the clinical department's ongoing initiatives, including monitoring, quality improvement projects, patient outcome processes and positive on-boarding of department personnel. Maintains service delivery to state licensing and JCAHO accreditation standards.

CUSTOMERS SERVED:

Patients; families; direct-care service providers; external funding sources; service, accreditation, and licensing agencies; external case managers; other staff; and the community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in direct mental health service provision (acute inpatient psychiatric health care preferred), with direct experience in case management, family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; Must have strong clinical assessment skills. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/ or student internship hours may be considered.

License: Must possess current and active state licensure as a LPC-I, LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW.

Additional Requirements: Timely renewal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for healthcare professional's certification, annual professional skills verification, and HWC (Handle with Care) behavioral management certification.
