About the Role
As a Product Designer on the Uber Eats team, you'll tackle complex problems that often span across the marketplace (consumer, merchant, courier). Collaborate with design-oriented engineers, product managers, data scientists, and outstanding designers in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. Using your skills in concepting, facilitation, service design, prototyping, and visual design, you'll launch experiences that change the way people access local commerce and make their lives more convenient. As a designer, you'll have an impact on our products, and shape, and the way that we work and collaborate with each other.
What the Candidate Will Do
* Own design problems end to end, from initial concept through shipping and beyond
* Build flows and prototypes to address difficult UX problems
* Work with product managers to define requirements and work closely with engineers to ship pixel-perfect designs
* Identify future opportunities, working as a critical thought partner to your counterparts in product, engineering, and operations
* You will ship, measure, and improve your designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback
* Brainstorm and iterate with your design colleagues to help raise the bar on the whole Eats experience
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of product design experience
* Experience building products for mobile and web
Preferred Qualifications
* A portfolio showing your high quality, thoughtful UI and UX work across both mobile and web, including some prototypes
* Service design experience, showing the ability to think beyond just the screen
* Experience working with qualitative and quantitative data that helps ground your decisions in real data, marketplace needs & norms, and business OKRs.
* Examples of clearly demonstrate how your designs tackle customer problems or add value to their lives
* A track record of shipping excellent design with an understanding of what details matter at each stage of the release cycle, making vital tradeoff decisions.
* Ability to facilitate team discussions and help drive toward decisions
