Technology Engineering for Devices is part of Hardware Engineering and tasked with delivering cutting edge technologies to support building new capabilities and new user experiences that break down the barriers of distance and time to bring people together as never before possible. As Tech Lead in the Depth Hardware team, you provide technical leadership as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for all hardware activities of the depth sensing team: micro-optics, lasers, mechanics, EE, Thermals, etc. Your scope spans early development of novel systems through development and product integration. You challenge the status quo and demand excellence in everything. With your technical leadership, depth sensing hardware provides a competitive advantage for our products. You focus on deliverables and activities that have great impact.

Depth Tech Lead, Technology Engineering for Devices Responsibilities

* Multidisciplinary hardware technologist working from research through productization

* Engage in high-impact/high-value projects as lead technical contributor/leader

* Foster a positive, prioritized work environment with accountability and impact

* Lead the technical process: evaluate, understand, implement cutting-edge depth solutions

* Collaborate across engineering disciplines and geographies

* Recruit world-class talent and mentor team members

Minimum Qualifications

* 6+ years of experience in engineering tech leadership role

* 7+ years of engineering consumer products experience (product concept through mass production

* BS in Electrical, Computer Engineering or related experience

* Experience successfully prototyping and building CE products

* Experience collaborating and communicating cross functionally

* Experience in EE, PD, or Optics engineering development

Preferred Qualifications

* Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

* Experience developing depth systems

* Experience developing cameras and optical systems

* Experience with Android/Linux systems
