Job Description
Ennis Regional Medical Center
Performs a variety of duties to support administration of the assigned department(s).
Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
Receives, screens, and routes visitors and telephone calls. Responds to, escalates, and follows up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
Runs various reports for the O's as needed.
Maintains files and office equipment.
Orders and stocks supplies.
Assists with the MediTract system on computer.
Takes patient complaints and completes appropriate form. Responsible for getting complaint information to the appropriate party.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent X Required
Some college preferred
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Three years secretarial experience. Experience in healthcare field is preferred.
Typing speed of 50-60 wpm and operation of ten-key calculator.
Proficient in operation computer software including: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Knowledge of general clerical duties.
Leadership abilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be capable of independent function with minimum supervision.
