The Marketplace Insights team was designed to identify and elevate strategic performance levers that drive transformative approaches to the modern business challenges that PepsiCo Foods North America (PFNA) and its retail partners face. We are focused on becoming a faster, stronger and better organization to ensure that were delivering new insights to drive growth for PFNA and for the categories in which we play.

The Marketplace Insights Manager must demonstrate the ability to become a trusted adviser and thought leader to the business. This individual will operate across a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization and help drive the organizations efforts to drive its strategic advantage through in-depth category analysis, strategic-framing, and scan data governance. This individual must combine Category fundamentals with Food & Beverage retail knowledge to deliver insights that drive commercial actions and ultimately impact category growth. The Marketplace Insights Manager regularly presents findings at senior leadership forums, therefore, excellent conceptual thinking, rich business acumen, executive presence and strong presentation skills are a must.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Support the strategic marketplace evolution of insights and capabilities
* Wire across Strategy, Consumer Insights, DX, Customer Teams, Sales Strategy and Planning to synthesize drivers of market performance
* Commercialize new marketplace insights reporting and communication
* Promote and foster a learning culture by monitoring in-market performance and leveraging key learnings to set the direction for future strategies/plans.
* Manage roadmap for report standardization/automation together with CDO / Advanced Analytics
* Manage roadmap for integration and automation together with CDO / Data Analytics and GBS
* IRI lead for FL Custom Database, owning data integrity, quality control, enhancements and GBS coordination
* Lead 1-2 data governance analysts within PepsiCos Global Business Service organization

Qualifications/Requirements

* Ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
* Excellent category analysis, conceptual & critical thinking skills. Keen attention to detail across multiple data sets to synthesize performance drivers or identify quality data issues
* Strong understanding of the Food and Beverage retail environment, past experience with Customer and/or Category data considered a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Including Strategic-framing storytelling and Advanced problem-solving capabilities
* Results-oriented strategic thinker who demonstrates a bias for action with a can-do approach to work
* Team player with the ability to excel in an agile, collaborative, ambiguous environment

CORE TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Identify, measure, and quantify marketplace retail and consumer trends and opportunities using multiple syndicated data sources such as; IRI, Nielsen, Retail-specific (8451, SPINS), Kantar, Hartman and other platforms
* Experience with Tableau, Unify or other 3rd party visualization tools

CORE ANALYTICS ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Assess and leverage new ways to visualize data in order to identify, measure, and quantify marketplace trends and opportunities.
* Support/define new processes and governance principles that quickly identify and resolve quality control issues among multiple syndicated data sources

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelors degree in business, economics, strategy or related field
* Minimum 3-5 years experience with CPG or strategy consulting firm background preferred
* Advanced analytical and communication skills
* High competency with scan-based data sources (IRI, SPINS)
* Prior Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred
* Prior Commercial and/or Strategy experience preferred
