We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Technical Publications and Learning and Development department team as a Sr. Instructional Designer - Learning and Development. This is an amazing opportunity to build training for innovative technology and store concepts.
As an Instructional Designer, you will bring experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to build high-quality, scale-able learning experiences that supports our learning community of our team. In addition, you will have strong program management experience, especially as it relates to the training/development space. You'll be empowered to curate, create and continuously improve learning content using an array of creative approaches that inspire learners and drive career and workforce progression.
To be successful you should be comfortable in working across multiple stakeholder groups, be well versed in creating learning objectives, expository content, eLearning, learning assessment and learner analytics support development, and instructional manuals for teachers and students in both a classroom and on-the-job settings.
You will be able to innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before. Someone who is technically strong and brings significant experience with service technicians and measurement expertise will thrive in this role.
More specifically, the Instructional Designer will:
Be an active and productive liaison/partner with the Tech teams consistently seeking to make a positive impact on key business safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience metrics.
Create, implement and track training programs for technicians, contractors, trainers and others (i.e., participating in and conducting needs analysis, skills development classes, cross training, etc.).
Actively seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of technician learning. Working with your manager and training team, you will be able to handle end-to-end projects, ensuring all aspects are running smoothly and according to plan. Ensure that the work of the team and individuals is continually aligned to meet internal customers needs.
Ensure that the Learning Department creates/updates accurate and useful training for a diverse audience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant experience in an instructional design role, minimum 5+ years
Demonstrated experience designing and developing training materials in all modalities, including ILT, e-learning, video
Experience collaborating with stakeholders, SMEs, front-line managers and frontline employees
Experience explaining complex topics to a novice audience
Demonstrated working knowledge of eLearning development tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, GoAnimate, or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
Demonstrated use of multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes
Demonstrated adult learning implementation and experience driving performance through impactful training
Demonstrated proficiency in assessing training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders
A work sample demonstrating your experience and skill using course authoring tools and ID theory will be required as part of the hiring process
Ability to adapt well to rapidly changing environments .
Ability to prioritize, run and complete projects with tight deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Background in learning theory/course facilitation.
Experience with Articulate Storyline and Learning Management Systems
