Position Summary
We are seeking a candidate for a Senior Regional Project Manager opportunity with our offices in Georgia and California. This position requires an individual with experience in the development of large complex projects and will be required to support all phases of the project from development and design, through construction and M&V if required. This individual must be capable of providing in depth oversight of all projects across multiple states within the geography utilizing local project managers and supervisors to handle day to day operations of projects. Travel to all customer sites will be required on a regular basis to meet with the local teams and customer, review progress, safety, and subcontractor performance. This position will have responsibility for managing the financial performance as well as forecasting of revenue on all projects within their assigned region. Other duties include supporting VPs through monthly reporting on health of the project to help minimize risk for the organization through proactive and continued process improvement, tracking and archiving all project documentation, and training utilizing standard PM tools and techniques. This candidate will drive setting up and maintaining installation schedules for all projects within the region and conducting weekly project team meetings as well as ensuring all projects meet Site Specific Safety Plans and safety meetings occur with attendance tracked.. The ideal candidate will have the skillset to own the project from start to finish and have full accountability for gross profit delivery, will attend all project kickoff meetings and ensure projects close out in a timely manner under budget and ahead of schedule.
Minimum Requirements
Educational and Experience Requirements
* Minimum 10 years of demonstrated Project Management experience running successful large, multi-million dollar MEP projects
* Strong mechanical systems background
* Minimum 10 years working as a design professional preferred
* Minimum 10 years managing a project delivery team
* Minimum 5 years experience working on federal projects
* Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Project
* College Degree or equivalent experience. BS Minimum. MBA preferred
Preferred Skills and Abilities
* Management and review of multi-million dollar performance contracts with guaranteed energy savings
* Coaching of project team to ensure all processes are followed.
* Training of project managers.
* 50-70% travel required
* Ability to review and develop mechanical scope through validation of BOD (Basis of Design)
* Understanding of federal acquisition regulations and how they relate to federal installation projects
* Full understanding of project delivery from kick-off to punchlist generation and closeout
* Review and validate project plans, estimates, scope documents, contract language, and savings calculations
* Management of Engineering team and design requirements during development and prior to construction
* Ensure strict compliance with contract review and legal review policies
* Kickoff and management of projects until project manager/supervisor hired and put in place
* Support and monitor project safety requirements
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local code requirements
* Develop, evaluate and analyze key operational performance metrics based on company goals and expectations
* Timely reporting and tracking of KPI performance and other metrics
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Other items as may be deemed necessary
