Job Description
Supervises staff of plant maintenance workers who safely perform preventative and predictive maintenance service and repairs in the areas of hydraulics, controls, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and machine servicing to the organization's plant. Troubleshoot, maintain and perform repairs on industrial production and facilities equipment and controls; Milling, lathes, grinding, fans, chilled water systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), scrubbers, electro-plating, plumbing, waste water system, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in such manner as to ensure optimal customer relations
Responsibilities
* Responds to customers complaints.
* Plans master schedule of maintenance and repair for the facility.
* Sets work priorities and objectives and assures that supervisors meet or exceed them.
* Coordinates ABM and customer subcontractors and vendors
* Trains, supervises and evaluates subordinate supervisory staff.
* Recommends promotions, demotions, discharges and other personnel changes for staff.
* Administers and communicates to subordinates, ABM and customers policies and procedures.
* Communicates to Account Director any information affecting or having the potential to affect customer relations or employee relations.
* Ensures safe work practices and work environment.
* Advises subordinate supervisors on difficult technical and personnel problems.
* Prepares and submits records and reports as per customer requirement
* Assists Account Director in the preparation and administration of the facility budget.
* Develop equipment specific safety programs in collaboration with customer and ABM EH&S
* Execute work order CMMS, review & modify tasks, schedules and equipment information; Run KPI and other management reports from CMMS
* Prepare facility maintenance budgets, CapEx budget and perform financial analysis
Minimum Requirements
* Preferred BS degree in business, sciences or equivalent Graduate form an apprentice program or Technical school will be considered but not required..
* 10 years experience in similar industrial plant environment
* Extensive knowledge of the methods, practices, techniques, tools, equipment and materials, used in general maintenance and repair.
* Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Ability to read and understand plans and blueprints
* Bi-lingual a plus but not required
* Preferred but not required experience in aerospace, manufacturing or heavy industrial systems
