Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.
Position Description:
The Associate Director of Operational Safety will report to the Elkton Director of Site Learning and work within the Supply Chain Management organization. This professional will leverage operational safety experience to manage multiple direct reports within the Sites High Risk Work training & permitting program, Safety Coach team, Safe By Choice Council, Ergonomic program, Event Investigation & Response team, and Safety Standard audit program.
In addition, responsibilities will include leading the site Safety Union Meeting and Site Leadership Team Safety GEMBAs t foster continuous improvement and learning.
The Operational Safety organization will be responsible for proactively enhancing the Sites safety culture through delivery of world class training, integration and coaching with sitewide operations and maintenance, audit readiness, and establishment of a unified investigative and corrective action methodology. Ultimately, key performance indicators for this position will be realized by both significant and sustained reduced of safety incidents, zero injuries, and zero safety related audit findings.
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
* Bachelor degree or higher
Required Experience and Skills:
* At least 6 years of industry related or military equivalent experience
* Operational Safety experience in a manufacturing or military equivalent environment
* Demonstrated leadership and proficiency managing projects with multiple stakeholders
* Driving teams and achieving tangible results
* Building systems/process that improve safety and health programs
* High Risk Work Permitting and Regulations (Ex: Electrical, Hot Work, Confined Space, Elevated Work, Lock Out Tag Out, Line Breaking, Crane Operations, and Hazardous Energy Control) Workflow and Project Management
* Proactive Risk Management and Reduction
* Resolution conflict and ability to make risk-based business decisions
Preferred Experience and Skills:
* Managing Plant/Sitewide projects where culture change management was fundamental to the project's success.
* Knowledge and application of Safety/High Risk Work
