The Clinic Director, Physician Services for Surgical Services, is responsible for the development of Clinic infrastructure and supervises the day-to-day operations of the assigned clinics for Watertown Regional Medical Center in accordance with federal, state and local standards and guidelines. Provides leadership and direction in facilitating the attainment of the organizations objectives while meeting clinics site level business requirements and marketing and growth of Clinics. Responsible for clinic strategic planning, business plans, budgets, marketing and growth of physician practices, including acquisition of physician practices, as applicable. Also, responsible for maintaining high level performance standards as it relates to the financial functions of practice management. Oversight of provider utilization. Analyses and PMPM reports relating to Clinic risk contracts and employer direct contracts, identifying areas for improvement and physician education. Responsible for the enhancement of the clinical service lines, business development, business plans, and relationship development. Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelors degree in business, health care administration, or health related field. Masters degree preferred.
5-6 years experience in physician practice management or healthcare management, including experience in the administration of a clinic, MSO or similar organization.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Knowledge of the principles and functions of management and leadership.
Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and its impact on clinical practice.
Knowledge of the interface effects with other healthcare disciplines and systems.
Experience in budgeting, and physician demand analysis.
Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
