Overview

The Sr Manager, Software Engineering will be charged with supporting all major initiatives from an IT, Software Development perspective focusing on the Digital Customer Experience. This role will ensure the technology and applications needed are accessible to all parties who have a desire to use them. The person in this role will work closely with all key members of product teams to ensure they have engineering support when needed. They will manage a team of highly skilled developers in an agile framework to help meet business challenges.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Collaborates with product teams to identify and create software solutions
* Understands & is a hands-on manager to support Lennars Systems
* Manage a team of experienced full stack developers and staff product teams as needed
* Understands and can promote an agile approach methodology to delivering defect resolutions, enhancements, & features
* Supports engineers and product teams by fielding questions and participating in issue resolution
* Strategize & deliver large and medium scale projects within a matrixed organization
* Ensures code reviews and documentation is completed
* Proactively monitors any issues with alerting and reporting to ensure stability in systems
* Creates, influences and aligns to Service Management policies and procedures such as Incident, Change and Problem Management.
* Help find and train top talent to continue to support the Lennar & technology needs
* Coach and mentor software engineering team
* Establishes staff goals and objectives, prepares and delivers performance reviews, administers salaries and responds to affirmative action needs.
* Follow competitors and the industry
* Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
* 10+ years with supporting development work in multiple technology stacks
* 5+ years experience with Salesforce Cloud (Sales, Care and Marketing) and other Salesforce toolsets
* Strong Experience in Cloud technologies (Azure Preferred)
* Strong Experience with Java technologies and dbas
* Strong IT background with a concentration on Systems integration
* Strong Data Management Background
* Ability to set business KPIs and help track, manage and interpret them to all levels of leadership

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Sr Manager, Software Engineer to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
