This is a 3-month internship position in Intel's PHY Research Lab. You will be contributing to Intel's chip-to-chip electro-optical link research. Research activities include research and design of electrical and optical transceivers, low-jitter high-speed clock generation, recovery and distribution, low-power and variation-tolerant mixed-signal circuits, and advanced techniques for behavioral link modeling.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job, school and/or research experiences.

Minimum qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled as a Ph.D. student in electrical engineering.
- Candidate must have 1+ years of work or educational experience in the following areas:
- 1+ year research experience in high-speed optical and/or wireless circuits and deep sub-micron Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) chip design.
- Understanding of communication concepts such as equalization and modulation and experience with multi-gigabit circuit design concepts.
