GDIT is looking for a D365 Scrum Master to join our team in support of the Veterans Affairs. The Mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) is to provide Information Technology solutions that support Services to Veterans of the United States. In meeting these goals, OI&T strives to provide high quality, effective, and efficient Information Technology (IT) to those responsible for providing a variety of services to Veterans.The successful Scrum Master applicant will serve as coach and facilitator for the product development teams that support the VA's CRM application suite based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 delivered via the Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) Software as a Service (SaaS). In this capacity, you will work with and advise DevOps development teams, product owners, cyber security analysts and system architects to build, migrate, and enhance applications that run on and interface with the CRM application suite. Your contributions and leadership will be vital to providing a positive, high quality user experience to our nation's veterans.
This overall program supports the sustainment, operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the D365-based systems and their integrations with the VA's enterprise supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite utilized by 70,000 VA employees. Previous experience working with MS Dynamics 365 / Dynamics CRM /Dynamics Customer Experience (CE) applications) is required. Experience working in support of Federal, State, or Tribal Governments, or a health care client is highly desired. The candidate will regularly interact with VA business stakeholders, VA Line of Business leadership and VA central office client stakeholders, including the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) staff, VA OIT leadership, and COR, and is expected to document and report any issues that arise. This position will be remote with limited support required in vendor facilities and/or a government site.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* The Scrum Master embraces Lean-Agile leadership and serves as coach and facilitator for the rest of the team.
* Facilitates all team meetings, including the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective.
* Facilitates the team's progress toward goals. The Scrum Master is continuously engaged in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. They help the team focus on daily and Iteration Goals.
* Helps the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guides the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope.
* The Scrum Master actively addresses impediments to progress so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration.
* Builds high-performing teams. Focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance. Helps the team manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Escalates people problems to management where necessary, but only after internal team processes have failed to resolve the issue; helps individuals and teams through personnel changes.
* Communicates with management and outside stakeholders; helps protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work.
* Guides the team in establishing normalized estimates and helps the team understand how to estimate Features and Capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business related field, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with 10 years of experience.
* 5+ years of DevOps/Scrum Master experience.
* Previousexperience working with MS Dynamics 365 / Dynamics CRM /Dynamics Customer Experience (CE) applications) is required.
* Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
* A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies
* Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 7+ team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and Testers.
* Balanced business/technical background.
* Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft administration and productivity tools;
* Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

The likely salary range for this position is $104,000 - $156,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
