Role Summary:
Focuses on the use of information and analytics to improve health and optimize consumer focused business processes. Responsible for contract financial analysis to support network expansion for existing and new geographies. Evaluates, writes, and presents contract financial analysis and makes recommendations based on relevant findings to drive the decision-making process and support business operations for internal and external customers in an effort to control medical cost and improve the quality of services provided to members.
This position will be required to have experience in several different technologies used by the MA/PA Medicare Advantage Finance team. These include multiple database technologies such as MS SQL, IBM DB2, Teradata, and Access. There are also several other tools such as Tableau, Cognos, and SAS. These technologies will be used to support financial analysis for the MA/PA network.
Detailed Responsibilities:
* Design and develop data analysis processes.
* Support MA/PA Medicare advantage contract analysis for network expansion.
* Work directly with Network Operations staff on contracting analysis.
* Support strategic initiatives for MA/PA Medicare plan.
* Interact closely with internal customers to understand their needs and expectations.
* Provide status reports, verbal and written.
* Take initiative to identify process improvements and implement them when needed.
* Support and assist in the successful completion of team goals.
* Perform other tasks as assigned
Ideal Candidates Will Offer:
* Bachelors degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics strongly preferred
* 3-4+ years of financial analysis or actuarial experience
* Experience with SQL preferred
* Proficiency with Microsoft software applications (Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and Windows operating system environment.
* Experience with Visual Basic for Applications preferred
* Have the ability to work independently and in conjunction with coworkers of all levels.
* Experience interpreting and defining business requirements for complex business problems.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and take initiative with limited direction.
* Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong analytical skill set
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
