Your Opportunity
The Advisor Services Pricing & Analysis team is a Finance partner to the Advisor Services Institutional business -- it is closely involved in modeling pricing negotiations with advisors who are prospective clients as well as with existing clients who are evaluating their relationship with Schwab. Pricing goes beyond commissions and fees; it includes understanding the overall asset mix, modeling engagement with our products, and then appropriately sizing the investment that should be made in acquiring the business through start-up assistance or loans. In addition, AS Pricing & Analysis reviews margin loan exception requests from Advisors and their end-clients. It is the business owner for the profitability tool (SIERA) used to calculate and report advisor financial performance, and also performs ad hoc analyses in support of management questions and strategic explorations. AS Pricing & Analysis is a part of Advisor Services & Schwab Asset Management Solutions Finance, which provides financial planning, analysis and reporting support to Schwab's Institutional businesses and product management organizations.

What you are good at

* Lead improvements in Advisor Services pricing strategy through analysis of competitive and internal information. Partner with AS Strategy and AS Sales/Marketing to develop pricing strategies to be pursued across the enterprise. Specifically:

* Drive the pricing harmonization strategy for advisors impacted by the integration of Schwab/TDA, with particular emphasis on aligning to the enterprise segmentation strategy.
* Drive improvement in our overall pricing strategy and policies.
* Develop improved tools for the combined sales organization to use during both the interim dual platform period and for post conversion environment.
* Lead the analysis and review of advisor pricing changes, margin loan requests, and investments associated with Advisor Services clients.
Take opportunity to get to know the Advisor Services Institutional business and work with multiple business partners
* across a variety of organizations.
* Lead our efforts across Schwab departments in developing improvements to the end to end sales journey.
* Educate Sales and non-Sales personnel in the use of the self-service profitability tools.
* Resolve challenges that come up in understanding individual advisors' profitability.
* Provide process support for deal approval requests and conduct monthly pre-publication reviews of profitability data.
* Provide support for the regular evaluation of recently funded deals.
* Lead ad hoc analyses resulting from questions from the field or from business, enterprise, or Finance leadership.

What you have

* 2+ years of experience in Financial Services working in a Finance related capacity.
* BS/BA degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required.
* BI/Data querying and analysis skills (SQL, Tableau, etc.)
* Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
* A strong grasp of corporate accounting and quantitative aptitude.
* The ability to handle contending priorities.
