Agile Delivery Lead - Tech Commercialization

In the Agile Delivery Lead role, you'll serve as the servant leader for your team(s) by ensuring clear communication and helping the team reach its goal. The ADL will drive the appropriate Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/etc) focused on predictable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the team. The ADL will facilitate team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team.

What is Tech Commercialization?

At the end of 2018 Capital One built an organization with the specific intent of externalizing our internally-built products. While this organization is relatively new, the acquisition of Critical Stack in 2016 planted the seeds for commercialization. Our initial focus will be our Cloud Management tools.

General Responsibilities:

Cross Team Delivery

* Serves as Agile Delivery Lead for one or more teams

* Integrates Agile & Lean principles into team practices and work products

* Ensures team maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery

* Developing ability to help onboard or act as a mentor to a Scrum Master with less experience

* Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)

* Actively seeks and participates in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training and independent study to further develop self and community

* Introduces new and advanced practices to improve the team and their delivery

* Have a working understanding of AWS/Azure/GPC

* Understands domain architecture and upstream/downstream dependencies

* Have a working understanding of software development or SDLC

* Ability to work in a DevOps environment

* Have a working knowledge of the different Agile Methodologies including Kanban, Scrum and SAFe.

* Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve

* Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree

* At least 2 years of Agile experience

* At least one of the following certifications: Scrum Alliance CSM, Scrum Alliance CSP, Scrum.org PSM, or PMIs Agile Certified Professional (ACP)

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3+ years of Agile experience

* PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification

* SAFe certification

* 2+ years experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure

* AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
