Job Summary

AECOM is hiring a BIM Specialist II for our innovative and growing Design Technology department in NYC. The Design Technology Department is comprised of architects, engineers, developers and programmers.

We are currently seeking a BIM Specialist to join our team. As a BIM Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting project teams through application of BIM technologies. The BIM Specialist will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities :

* Assist in providing training and technical support to design staff on Building Information Modeling systems

* Act as a support resource for core design technologies

* Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project

* Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques

* Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies

* Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization for architectural and engineering designs

* Deliver assigned tasks, projects and group initiatives in an efficient manner

* When and where applicable, coordinate support between external vendors and internal staff

* Support efforts in development, testing and implementation of design tools and services

* Support the development and implementation interoperability workflows between various design applications/platforms

* Assist in the creation and review Design Technology learning materials

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelors degree in architecture, engineering, information technology or a related discipline and 2+ years of experience in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques is required or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education

* Progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling, with a focus on Autodesk Software Suite required

* Expertise in Revit

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with a variety of BIM software including but not limited to: Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Design Suite, Assemble, and Plangrid

* Proficiency in MS Office Suite

* Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

* Experience with a variety of design software including but not limited to: Rhino, Vray, Lumion, Unity, Unreal, Twinmotion, AutoCAD, and Formit.

* Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the AEC industry

* Ability to effectively meet deadlines

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

* Experience with Bentley Open Buildings is a plus

* Familiarity with Autodesk Revit API & Dynamo, as well as Grasshopper for Rhino, are pluses.
