Job Summary

As a Partner Enablement Consultant, you will engage directly with NetApp Partners in programs and activities that enable them to develop technical expertise, relevant product knowledge and customer insights to deliver, support and service NetApps products, technologies and solutions. In this role you will be expected to have a very good understanding of NetApps technology, products and services portfolios, as well as the companys go-to-market partner strategy. Working with the Partner Development Manager you will leverage the NetApp services portfolio of programs to drive customer success through partner self-sufficiency and technical services capability. This position resides within the Channel Services organization and is closely aligned with NetApps Channel Sales and Services organizations. This position requires a dynamic individual, with broad technical skills, expert knowledge of NetApp products, technologies and solutions, and good oral and written communication skills. Individuals will also possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Essential functions:

* Apply technical knowledge through expert shadowing with Partner resources
* Work with partner resources on customer sites providing real-time, hands- on, on the job training. Use NetApp white papers, technical reports to provide them with solution specific knowledge. In addition use the other methods of training like customizing learning paths, and lab exercises.
* Gain and continue to leverage broad exposure to technologies and concepts across multiple customer environments and architectures. (More breadth/domain expertise separates Level 1 from 2)
* Continuously expand and enhance technical knowledge through training, and on- going collaboration with global technical experts.
* Work closely with NetApp Professionals Services colleagues, Partner Enablement Programs and Training Teams to create repeatable training methods and practices to support partner resources with existing and new products, technologies and solutions.
* Work closely with Partner Development Managers, Partner Resources and Partner Enablement Programs Team to identify and document service delivery gaps and assist in the development of recommendations to address these gaps.
* Drive and operationalize regular Partner Resources skills assessments to identify skill gaps that will be addressed through the various training and enablement methods.

Job Requirements

* Competent knowledge of NetApp products, solutions, technologies & services.
* Level 1: Possess expert level skills in a broad set of technology areas, such as Hybrid Cloud, flash storage, data protection & management, messaging, database, virtualization etc. Individuals will also possess good oral and written communication skills. Individuals will possess customer interface and interpersonal skills. The individuals will be expected to travel more frequently, and perhaps outside the geo they are based in.
* Level 2: Expert knowledge of how to install, configure and optimize NetApp ONTAP, HCI, as well as data migration methodologies. Individuals will also possess strong leadership, customer interface, with strong sales affinity and interpersonal skills.
* Competent knowledge of NetApp tools (i.e. Active IQ, Config Builder, IMT, Upgrade Advisor etc.)
* Preferably be implementation certified in one of the Hyperscalers technologies, AWS, Azure, GCP
* Demonstrated exposure (or expertise) to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed IT environment
* Experience in technical project management/coordination
* Proven analytical/problem solving abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, customer and business skills
* Up to 50%+ travel required
* A strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities for our Channel Partners servicing our NetApp Customers.

Education

* 10+ years of experience as an individual contributor
* A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; or related field is required
* Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
* Experience which demonstrates a significant level of consulting expertise in technical required to sell NetApp products and services is required.
