How? Become a Engineering Manager (Facilities & Maintenance) in our Cardiac Rhythm Management manufacturing business located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

As a Engineering Manager (Facilities & Maintenance) you will provide direction, leadership and management for Facilities, Sterilization, Calibrations and Maintenance departments.

* Utilize Maintenance Excellence metrics to achieve maintenance productivity, compliance, and financial goals while driving a high level of performance within the functional areas.
* Actively support the professional development of individuals.
* Foster continuous improvement and encourage open communication.
* Interact effectively and cooperatively, handling changes in work tasks and environment and takes prompt action to accomplish objectives.
* Department Strategy to meet site goals: mandated training, bench marking, MEx/continuous improvement of planned & scheduled maintenance work, EMP improvements based on Maximo analysis of Work order history.
* Planning & scheduling project work, critical spare replacements, Shut down planning and coordination
* Ensure compliance to GMP/ISO, EHS policies and regulations and per CRM Quality System requirements within Maintenance.
* On the Job Training for Supervisors, Equipment Engineers & Technicians. Coordinate instructor led training for Process/equipment knowledge including process/equipment green belt/problem solving.
* Spare parts & Obsolescence analysis.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in Engineering is required.
* 8+ years of experience in facilities, sterilization, calibrations or maintenance management experience. Supervisory experience is required.
* Prior experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
* Knowledge of the Quality System with understanding of the CAPA system and interrelated system.
* Experience selecting and managing vendors and contracts.
* Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
* Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
* Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
* Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable
* Must be bilingual (English and Spanish), possess good communication and analytical skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
