This role will be responsible for the administration of the Companys Global Mobility program, in support of Company business and talent strategy globally. The individual will oversee cost effectiveness and practical mobility solutions within Delta managements resourcing strategy. As a member of the Global Rewards team, the Specialist - Global Mobility will oversee the global delivery of the Companys international relocation and assignment programs. He/she will ensure vendor services, programs and benchmark against industry and market practices are reflective of the company's culture.

The successful candidate will work with other members of the team to develop and implement strategies to continue to develop the Companys relocation and assignment programs; working closely with cross-divisional clients, as well as partnering with external providers. The Specialist - Global Mobility will act as a liaison between HR Partners, Assignees and Vendors. This role is responsible for the partnership of our global vendors such as tax advisors, immigration, and relocation providers. In addition, this role will be a key contributor responsible for landing strategic projects, simplification ideas, policy changes and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

* Global Mobility Program and Partnership Management
* Provides subject matter expertise to HR and Senior Leadership
* Assist in internal immigration policies and procedures in compliance with global immigration regulations and global best practices
* Communication to and education of Managers and Employees regarding Global Mobility strategy, policy, process and procedures
* Provide processes, tools and collateral and necessary training to ensure effective HR understanding to execute international relocation and assignment policies
* Partnering with functional teams to ensure the success of the Mobility program, such as Payroll, International Tax, Finance, Accounts Payable, Travel, etc.
* Stay informed and attend trainings regarding Mobility topics (immigration, social security, tax)
* Escalates non-standard topics (which are most) to the right people, includes all stakeholders in the consultation and finds solutions.
* Responsible contact person for managers, program/project managers, assignees, HR to consult on Global Mobility related questions.
* Requests exceptions and finds solutions for non-standard cases, giving feedback for the global mobility policy and ongoing process improvements.
* Maintains an excellent, broad knowledge of Global Mobility topics, especially with regards to country specifics: immigration, social security, tax and permanent establishment risks.
* Vendor Management
* Hold vendors accountable to service level agreements
* Work with Procurement to secure new vendor contracts and relationships
* Day to day management of external service providers performance
* Assist in the design and coordination of vendor metrics, assignee surveys and other analytic tools
* Policy and Compliance
* Ensuring assignee and corporate compliance with Immigration, Labor, Employment and Taxation
* Managing and reporting policy exceptions

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business management or in related field of study or equivalent experience is required.
* Must have at least 3-5 years of Global Mobility experience and/or equivalent subject matter expertise in delivering and managing Global Mobility programs with two of three key areas: International assignments, HR, Domestic and/or International Relocation, Immigration or Expatriate Tax
* Displays complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices.
* Broad knowledge of global Immigration and Tax concepts and the ability to interpret and explain to assignees, HR and Managers
* Superior communication and customer service skills (verbal and written)
* Proven relationship management skills, and the ability to influence and work with Managers and Employees at all levels
* Excellent organization, work planning and decision-making skills
* Ability to balance the needs of the Business and the Employees, while adhering to Global Mobility policies and procedures and remaining compliant in both the Home and Host locations
* Strong team player, adaptable and flexible with the ability to work across cultures and regions
* Ability to see the big picture and contribute to the global strategy, policy and processes within a fast paced, constantly changing environment
* Self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to innovate, particularly in the area of system-based process development
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills (written presentation of both technical and analytical work)

* Knowledge of HR processes, systems, policies and procedures

* 10% travel (domestic and/or international)
