HollyFrontier Corporation is seeking a System Administrator to be based in our headquarters in Dallas, TX. This position will be responsible for providing moderately complex system, application and database support as assigned and conducts technical assignments and projects for the Information Technology Department.
This position is not eligible for International Relocation Program benefits.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Supports various departmental and site specific applications (e.g. tank gauging, data historians, lab systems, hourly timekeeping system, document management, environmental applications, and automation systems) including application level and depending on assignment database level support.
Monitors applications daily for optimization (slowness), batches jobs, runs monthly reports, performs weekly backups and break/fixes, and creates interfaces as needed
Installs various application software, patches, and upgrades on servers coordinating with cross-functional teams for resources.
Assists in maintaining legacy applications and converting them to HollyFrontier standards by data extracts and migration.
Writes clear, concise, and accurate documentation and provides training.
Documents application installation process, troubleshooting guides, and application run guides.
Runs periodical reports for various departments; maintains, adds and modifies existing reports and creates new reports on demand
Acts as system administrator for assigned system(s): new user setup, password resets, and profile changes.
Provides remote support for various assigned applications and supporting servers, services, and interfaces.
May complete quarterly SOX audits requests by compiling and providing evidence.
Monitors supports queues meeting service level agreements for assigned incidents or services requests.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one year of systems administration job-related experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in an industrial setting.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) or a combination of education and job-related experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Administration, implementation, and support experience required in various departments and company applications. Good organizational, time-management, the ability to effectively communicate with others, both verbal and written communication skills; and the ability perform intermediate level mathematical calculations; intermediate to advanced reading skills. Working knowledge of the assigned relational database principles.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Office based with travel up to 30% by land or air. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. Occasionally required to work long hours which may include nights, weekends, holidays for regularly scheduled maintenance and emergency work and support as well as on-call availability. At times, required to work in warehouse/plant environment and refinery/industrial environment, includes but not limited to, work near moving mechanical parts and/or rotating equipment, loud noise or vibrations and varying road conditions. May be required to work outdoors and subject to all weather including outdoors weather. At times may be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
