The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Director, IT Finance. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Providing financial support to the Albertsons Technology team by assuming financial responsibility for the Cloud and Operations Team within the Technology (IT) Team.
* Partnering with the Group Vice President and his directs to manage and communicate all financial results -- opex and capex, across run, change, and grow activities.
* Working with accounting on period-end and quarter-end close activities.
* Working with project and program leads to manage project and program financials.
* Preparing the annual budget, managing against that budget, reporting on variances, and maintaining a forecast against the budget.
* Coordinating with other analysts and the offshore financial team to optimize deliverables -- some of which maybe direct reports.
* Lead and deliver against internal improvement efforts and finance projects.

Qualifications:

* 4-year degree and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of professional experience in the field of Financial Planning and Analysis, with experience supporting IT preferred.
* 5+ years in the manager or director role.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Great presentation skills.
* Extreme proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, links) and MS Outlook (email, meetings) and MS PowerPoint (clear, uncluttered slides)
* Ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion / Essbase.
* Ability to navigate large company and manage multiple stake holders.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
* Ability to work with teams that are geographically distributed and work across different time zones.
* Exceptional leadership abilities to facilitate and encourage team collaboration and support career growth of security staff at various levels of maturity and expertise.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
