Job Overview:

* The Benefits consultant is responsible for supporting the companys US employee benefits programs, including health and wellness, income protection, retirement, and related programs. This is an amazing opportunity to drive awareness of the world class benefits portfolio in the North America region.

Responsibilities:

* Performs US benefits administration for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) plans.
* Take the lead in creating communication and coordination of benefit information to employees to ensure employees are educated on the companys various benefits programs (i.e., benefits orientations, open enrollment, health fairs, wellness webinar, road shows, etc.).
* Assists employees in answering questions related to the companys benefits programs and works closely with the companys benefits consulting firm to ensure employees questions are handled as they relate to claims, enrollment and eligibility.
* Performing benchmarking of benefit offerings and makes recommendations to continue to improve portfolio.
* Provide basic benefits administration support where required.

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Training required:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an HR role.
* PHR certification a plus.
* Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources, specifically in Benefits and Compensation.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

* 2-5 years experience administering US benefit plans preferred.
* Experience marketing consumer driven healthcare plans preferred in a corporate environment (i.e. HRA, HSA).
* Experience with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
* Self-starter who takes a proactive approach to driving program awareness.
