Job Description

As an Operations Representative you will ensure operational excellence through supporting both internal and external customers and carriers. You will do this by tracking and tracing our shipments, making appointments, entering shipment data, communicating to help resolve issues and ensure on time departures/arrivals. You will also provide excellent customer service to our carriers and customers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to start your career at C.H. Responsibilities:

Execution

* Executes a combination of the following tasks: confirm pick-ups and deliveries, request new appointments, request and follow up for paperwork, event log management; and track and trace shipments per SOPs.
* Validates and ensures the accuracy of load data in CHR systems.
* Monitors freight/load boards to meet service level agreements.
* Documents milestone events, gathers and communicates information for proper problem resolution, resolves routine exceptions utilizing knowledge gained through SOPs and experience and, when required, follows defined escalation procedures.

Customer Service

* Focuses on internal and/or external customer needs, recognizes service issues, implements customer-focused practices and/or escalates when appropriate.
* Follows through on customer requests to ensure satisfaction; where applicable invites feedback and seeks suggestions for improvement.
* Builds relationships at the appropriate level and works collaboratively both internally and externally to achieve positive outcomes.

Productivity and Efficiency

* Completes activities with accuracy and compliance to CHR and customer standards.
* Contributes to the departments efficiency by identifying and/or implementing operational enhancements.
* Understands available tools and resources and how to best leverage each to implement efficiencies.

Required Qualifications:

* High School degree or GED equivalent

* Effective communication skills, verbal and written
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time effectively
