Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems(NGAS) Research, Technology, and Engineering (RT amp;E), Palmdale Aircraftand Integration Center of Excellence (PAICoE), Systems, Integration, Test andEvaluation (SIT amp;E) Department has an opening for a Ground Stations (GS) Leadto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will belocated in Palmdale, CA.
EssentialFunctions:
* Provide directionand oversight as 2nd shift GS Lead for Flight Test (FT) and GroundTest (GT) events, with the flexibility to work alternate shifts in emergencysituations
* Coordinates with1st shift GS Lead for seamless handoff of FT/GT events andresponsibilities
* Supports GSmodifications, upgrades, audits, inspections, maintenance, and security
* Produce andmaintain GS policies, procedures, training, and maintenance materials
* Coordinatesmaintenance and upgrades with GS Responsible Engineers (REs) and Technicians
* Participate inRisk amp; Opportunity Management, Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) events,and Lean initiatives as required
The selected candidate should thrivein a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverseassignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be able to collaborate closelywith other Systems Test Engineers, Managers, and Test Conductors.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of relevant engineering experience (electrical, aerospace, mechanical, etc); Masters Degree and 7 years; or PhD with 4 years
* 2 years of relevant experience providing guidance in a lead or leadership role
* Previous experience with GS equipment and architecture
* Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher with background investigation completed within the last 5 years
* Ability to obtain and maintain program access
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Flight Test best practices, processes, and procedures
* Strong leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
* An active in-scope DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance
