Northrop Grumman is seeking a Field Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is is located in Salt Lake City and Provo Utah, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting both locations.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman 39;s Postal Services Biohazard Detection System Group. The applicant will provide field maintenance support to an electro-mechanical system nationwide within our Customer 39;s facilities. In addition to providing regular weekly field maintenance, weekly travel from one location to another, the position requires a 48-hour on-site response time and 72-hour response time for failure troubleshooting and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Designated focal point and liaison between site personnel and Northrop Grumman headquarters.
- Maintaining weekly scheduled maintenance.
- Providing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to installed equipment.
- Maintaining maintenance logbooks.
- Providing status and update worksheets through website interface.
- Completing spreadsheet and word processing reports.
- Downloading/uploading files and software patches.
Additionally, Northrop Grumman reserves the right to request references from the applicants.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.
- Candidate must have some software installation and troubleshooting skills and experience.
- Must have computer skills, specifically in the area of working with site server and the Internet.
- Must have some electro-mechanical installation and troubleshooting skills and experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance ndash; US Citizenship required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Must possess a valid driver 39;s license with a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Military background a plus
- Current Position of Public Trust clearance
- BDS Certification
