This position will be responsible for the direction and administration of all Demand Planning activities in the US. Team Leader will serve as a source of knowledge and experience for the business needs in the assigned locations, acting proactively on identifying trends and managing risk on major inventory categories.
Confers with the Sourcing & Materials Management Team in determining future stock material needs. Achieving and maintaining specific plant interaction, as well as good communications skills to result in clear objectives with Operations, Material Management and Procurement teams, improving customer focus. This position will focus on aligning material demand with O&M needs, ensuring material availability, analyzing business inputs and planning future demand, supporting Process Improvement Projects, and developing management reports and presentations on a high level.
Main responsabilities:
Identify and work in close communication with Operations resources responsible for projects/maintenance status reviews to understand impacts on material consumption forecast & availability.
Coordinate and lead monthly Demand Planning review process.
Work with Operational units across the SBU to collect, determine impact and incorporate sourcing intelligence (consignment, VMI, etc) into the forecast
Prepare long term forecasted items requirements for high turnover items to be procured as Outline Agreements or Contracts by Procurement Department
Create and analyze (multi)-annual forecast performance
Perform top down and bottom-up forecast validation
Review and resolve operational forecast issues and communicate resolution throughout Supply Chain
Ensure proper and intelligible criteria for material requirement planning practices on SAP (Must)
Have a clear link between the replenishment strategy and the Inventory optimization/reduction initiative
Develop & maintain operational forecast by item segment in the ERP Demand Planning system
Define Inventory category (groups/subgroups) management strategies for the different businesses in the SBU
Participate in operational planning/Capex status meetings.
Participate in monthly material review process with Materials Management & Procurement
Monitor and follow up with Procurement & Materials teams to update deliveries of materials based on the project schedules from operations.
Serves as a source of knowledge and experience for the business needs in the region acting proactively on identifying trends, managing risk on major items categories.
Review material master data & planning parameters and provide new or updated information to Shared Service Center to process.
Support and update the Material Master and focus on duplicates and taxonomy.
Works with operations & the WH Teams to identify obsolete materials to be removed from inventory.
Directs and counsel’s Demand Planning personnel in the performance of their duties.
Support Internal and External Audit Programs.
