Job Summary
Responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders to external customers and internal partners, training peers within department, and supporting department leadership in issue investigation and resolution.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Performs work functions to assist department in accomplishing daily goals, including but not limited to; picking orders, packing orders, shipping orders, operating material handling equipment, and supporting other departments within the warehouse by properly following job-specific work instructions and company guidelines.
Monitors orders created in SAP and releases for processing.
Provides training on job-specific duties to peers within assigned department.
Supports department leadership by participating in issue investigation and resolution. Other duties may be assigned.
Expected Areas of Competence
Computer literate with working knowledge of SAP.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, along with the ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Demonstrate ability to accurately document information on all router documents per applicable.
Change agent with the drive to learn new concepts and processes and assist with implementing those changes.
Safely operate material handling equipment.
Ability to lead and train people.
Ability to follow verbal instructions from Manager.
Must be able to meet all technical and physical requirements of primary job function.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is frequently required to stand for 8-12 hours per day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Education/Experience Requirements
HS diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of recent work experience in distribution/medical device warehouse or manufacturing setting Proficient with SAP
