Inpatient General / Adolescent Psychiatrist| Houston, TX
For over 25 years, Cypress Creek Hospital has been faithfully serving Houston and its surrounding communities. We offer psychiatric care and treatment to adults and adolescents experiencing mental health and substance abuse issues.
Cypress Creek Hospital is a fully accredited, 128-bed acute care psychiatric facility in Houston, Texas. We offer a broad range of inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services for adolescents (ages 12 - 17) and adults suffering from mental illness or substance abuse.
Our physician-directed staff of registered nurses, social workers, therapists, mental health technicians, and certified alcohol and drug abuse counselors brings skill and compassion to individualized treatment programs for both patient and family. We offer individual and group therapies including family, recreational, activity, and art therapy. We also provide partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services that include an adult therapy program, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and a substance abuse intensive outpatient program.
We are currently seeking to add an Inpatient General / Adolescent Psychiatrist Unit Director to our well-established & dynamic medical staff team.
DETAILS:
* Provide care to primarily inpatient acute psychiatric patients ages 12+.
* Additional ECT &/or PHP volume optional.
* Highly flexible schedule - ability to leave after patients are seen each day.
* Monthly stipend for Unit Directorship.
* Full time independent contractor.
* Collaborative, supportive, & dynamic team.
* Manageable caseload, with call split among team.
* Days only.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required.
2. BE/BC General Psychiatry required.
3. BE/BC Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
4. Current Texas Physician/Medical license (MD or DO only), in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure.
