Openings on all three shifts with a $1.50/hr shift differential!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Able to learn and perform multiple operations on the assembly cell.
* Perform all compressor repair duties.
* Able to quickly identify problems and make corrections.
* Enforce the Three Repair Rule for operator defects.
* Read and interpret prints and BOMs.
* Fill out repair sheets.
* Perform first piece quality inspection.
* Perform material handling tasks as necessary.
* Process and key scrap data into SAP.
* Use hand tools, air tools, fixtures, and torque wrenches.
* Work well with team members.
* Work multiple shifts.
* Work overtime with little notice.
* Assist with training new employees.
* Perform group leader responsibilities as necessary including meeting all safety, quality and efficiency goals.
* Understands and follows the Jackson sites environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with their work activities.
* Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES
* Must have satisfactory leadership and communication skills
* Must have experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing assembly defects
* Must have basic computer skills; experience in SAP and Windchill preferred
* Must have basic knowledge of line balancing, time observations, and cycle time
* Must report to work on time, work safely and keep work area clean
* Must be able to work safely
* Must be self-motivated and work well under fast-paced situations
* Must be able to receive constructive criticism and show immediate improvement
* Must be willing to move to other lines as needed
* Must be able to perform repetitive work yielding a quality part within a 20-30 second takt time
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required
1 year experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
1 year equivalent experience or training
