Who You Are

* 5+ years of experience in the transportation field with a record of demonstrated achievement
* Required experience with Parcel transportation
* Project management skills
* Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain or International Business
* Excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail
* Expertise in Microsoft Excel with proficiency in other Microsoft Applications
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, have a sense of urgency and know how to prioritize initiatives
* Must be a goal-oriented team player and be adaptable in a fast paced, changing environment
* Limited travel may be required
What Youll Do
The Transportation Project Leader will help drive change and efficiencies using a process oriented, data driven, and customer focused approach. This position focuses on data analysis and the development of transportation related process improvements, strategy design, and cost savings opportunities. The position will lead, implement and track projects with a primary focus on the Parcel mode of transportation. Specifically, you will:
* Accountable for strategic year over year cost reduction
* Lead collaboration efforts between carriers and internal business groups including sales, DCs, plants, and supply chain to ensure transportation cost improvement targets are met
* Collect and analyze data for network optimization and supply chain design as an opportunity to identify process improvement and cost savings initiatives for parcel mode of transportation
* Lead productivity ideation sessions and project implementation with cross-functional teammates
* Manage projects from beginning to end in a systematic way providing updates to keep functional leads current on project statuses and associated timelines
* Interact and develop partnerships with carriers and 3PLs
* Support integration processes of company acquisitions and standardize Parcel transportation procedures
* Keep up to date with industrys best practices
* Flexibility to cross train and learn other transportation team functions
