Senior Manager, Marketing Content Writer Security

The Marketing Content Writer for Security, is a naturally curious, resourceful researcher and creative problem solvera self-starter with the drive to take initiative and pursue the information needed to deliver outstanding content for our organization.

This individual will serve as a critical contributor to our organization to work with a variety of Security stakeholders and subject-matter experts to concept and create content that positions our organization as a trusted voice of clarity and a resource for our employees and customers on matters of security, date privacy, reliability and responsiveness. You will work across teams to produce highly engaging content that will help our internal and external customers understand the critical role that Security plays at Salesforce and highlights the expertise of our Security leaders. You are adept at capturing, distilling, and translating complex information for audiences with varying degrees of subject matter sophistication.

Core Responsibilities

* Concept, develop, write, edit, and format marketing content including, but not limited to, executive thought leadership, training and educational content, website and blog copy, podcast and video scripts, and marketing sales materials including case studies, testimonials, and other initiatives.

* Write and collaborate with internal clients; writer will possess exemplary writing skills and an array of soft skills (diplomacy, professionalism, adaptability) to develop and update internal and go-to-market assets, with significant opportunities for executive engagement throughout the asset development process.

* Creating, updating and enhancing content that adheres to format, content and style guidelines, with consideration to usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality.

* Ability to manage time independently, meet deadlines, communicate effectively with team members, and collaborate with peers.

* Ability to give and accept feedback from management, internal stakeholders and reviewers.

* Ability to keep projects moving forward, even in times of ambiguity.

Required Experience

* 7+ years prior experience in marketing writing, journalism, editorial and/or content strategy and development with a technology organization or in technology consulting.

* Experience with long-form content such as executive thought leadership.

* Experience with case studies, whitepapers, blogs, brochures, and training and education materials.Required tools knowledge: Google G Suite, PowerPoint/Google Slides

* A strategic thinker with proven ability to work cross-functionally

* Ability to lead, manage and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and nimble environment

* History of successful project execution

* Work samples/portfolio will be requested for all interviews

* Previous experience writing marketing content for technology, and/or strong journalism experience with a portfolio of published work that demonstrates consistently high-quality writing and research skills

* Exceptional content program manager, able to set and maintain strategic priorities in order to reach organizational goals

Desired Skills:

* You are passionate about your work and security space, understand the depths of technologies and innovation, cybersecurity, and cloud/IT, and are constantly thinking of inventive ways to drive greater impact through written content.

* Desired tools knowledge: Adobe Creative Suite, graphics skills

* Working knowledge of cloud providers and service offerings. General knowledge/experience in cybersecurity a plus.

* Formal training and/or job experience in journalism preferred; interviewing ability is key
