Job Summary

NetApp is looking for an Enterprise Information Architect who can create and influence effective architectures for managing information across the enterprise. The Enterprise Information Architect is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, designing, and implementing complete and integrated Architectures that support NetApp business needs. As an EA, you will be the lead practitioner of information management who will drive, influence, and execute the information strategy. This individual can clearly articulate the benefits and relevance of the concepts, products and technologies related to the information architecture domain to a diverse audience. You will establish, promote, and support the use of technology standards across the NetApp. Strong organizational skills, technical expertise and attention to detail are key in this customer-focused role.

This role must be able to provide proactive guidance and consultation to a wide spectrum of stakeholders (data analysts through executives) which will influence meaningful improvement opportunities. The guidance provided will require broad communication skills and will take many forms, e.g. reference architectures, standards, principles, presentations, etc.

Job Requirements

- In-depth knowledge of the Data Warehouse (Oracle OBIEE), Snowflake, In-Memory database (HANA), NoSQL database and ETL/ELT platforms.
- In-depth understanding and value proposition for data warehouse, data lake and data marts.
- In-depth understanding of business model and information (structured and unstructured) including Master Data Management strategy.
- Understanding of Big data, Machine Learning, AI and NLP capabilities and technologies.
- Experience with building roadmap for Information Architecture with key dependencies and milestones.
- Persuasive at influencing strategic architecture direction, framing reference architectures, and policies/standards to drive consensus on target state architecture and roadmaps.
- Experience with ER modeling tools.
- Experience with analyzing and modeling data concepts across the enterprise and various business systems.
- Deep understanding of the business processes to facilitate data governance and influence the diverse stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements using complex methods/models to determine appropriate architectural solutions.
- Work within a cross-functional team to provide technical expertise during design and planning.
- Establish and implement technology migration strategies for applications or architectures.
- Provide mentorship and training to other associates on processes and tools; and to handle more complex issues/requests.
- Create EA artifacts that can be leveraged across the enterprise.

Skills
- Skilled in business domain modeling and logical and physical relational data modeling/design.
- Skilled modeler in both operational transaction and data warehouse dimensional design.
- Skilled in data analysis and facilitation.
- Expert knowledge of modeling, database, infrastructure, information management, and business processes and strategic goals.
- Must have expertise relating to the design and development of information technology architectures across the enterprise.
- Requires expert knowledge of a wide variety of technologies such as ETL, ELT tools and platforms, application servers, database servers, web servers, integration technologies and middleware, etc.
- Must be able to define and evangelize the Architecture artifacts and processes that support Reference Architectures, SDLC, Governance, etc.
- Advanced understanding of Cloud Architectures (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and the ability to address the unique considerations of Cloud computing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills partnering with both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels in the organization.
- Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be self-motivated, work independently or as part of a team, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
- Certification in an EA related area such as TOGAF will be a plus

Education

- 12+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years working experience with Business Analytics
- BS Degree in Computer/Engineering or higher
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
