Job Description

The customer team comprises Sales, Project Management, System Engineering and System Technologist personnel working together in a high performance culture, often with demanding cycle times and high customer expectations because we are working on mission critical communication systems.
Many of our systems are designed around the APCO Project 25 communications standard. With the growth of data services some of our customers mobile wireless networks are being enhanced with LTE infrastructure for applications such as live mobile video transmission supplementing our traditional core voice and narrow-band data networks.
The Upgrade Operations (UO) department specializes in performing software and hardware upgrades on live customer systems. The UO department focus is on minimizing the customer's downtime during software upgrades in order to optimize their upgrade experience during the moments that matter.
As part of the Upgrade Operations team, the intern will have the opportunity to learn about Astro25 Two-Way Radio Communication Systems. The UO internship is focused on enhancing a candidate's programming skills, technical and troubleshooting skills. The candidate will work as part of a team in an office environment as well as in a customer environment. The intern will also work independently on a special intern project. The internship will take place in Summer 2020.
Basic Requirements
* Currently enrolled for Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Networking, IT or Cyber Security.
* Graduating on or before December 2021.
