AWS ProServe is seeking an experienced, self-directed leader with strong consulting experience for our rapidly growing Professional Services business. You will be responsible for scoping and delivering programs end-to-end, requiring collection of business and systems requirements from stakeholders, writing specifications, driving schedules from design to release, and, most importantly, operationalizing these programs in the field. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market and clearly communicate intent/goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams. You will drive the change management necessary to “land” these programs.
The ideal candidate will possess a mix of consulting, strategic planning and analytics background. You will have demonstrated experience providing strong business analytics, and delivering on projects of all sizes. You will work in an ambiguous and entrepreneurial environment. This means you are not only able to develop and drive projects, build the right analytics, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. In this role, you will anticipate bottlenecks, evaluate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner with the right metrics and KPIs is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
· Work with leadership, practice managers, portfolio managers, engagement managers, and operations managers to drive strategic programs for ProServe;
· Collaborate with business intelligence, business systems group, and engineering teams to influence and guide development roadmaps;
· Gather input from a global customer and stakeholder community to document pain points, and translate those into requirements;
· Develop prioritized roadmaps and timelines with embedded adoption and change management tactics;
· Implement solutions, develop appropriate communications & training, and launch new processes and solutions to stakeholders/field community;
· Analyze data sets to deliver insights into program performance, problem root causes, and set KPIs;
· Draft narratives for internal audiences
Some travel is expected as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree;
· 5+ years of consultant or practice management experience in a technology or professional services industry;
· Demonstrated experience with structured thinking to proactively recognize business challenges, diagnose and frame problems, develop solutions, communicate complex analysis and insights, and prioritize decisions by combining strategic business insights and analysis with sales and operational realities;
· Experience working effectively across internal and external organizations to engage, build consensus, and drive resolution to challenging problems;
· Experience in devising change management and adoption tactics, and leading change efforts, readiness, and enablement;
· Experience with MS Excel and foundational knowledge of data reporting and analytics tools such as Quicksight, Salesforce, Tableau.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· In depth reporting experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and/or data analytics & reporting tools. Ability to build reports and extract data.
· Working knowledge of Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools (e.g., FinancialForce)
· Experience in agile management principles
· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
· Curious, quick to assimilate information, detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects;
· Interest in and motivation to learn and gain new skills to contribute to the team and the organization in any way you can;
· Strong verbal, written communication and data presentation skills, including ability to effectively communicate in both business and technical terms;
· Master’s degree
