DESCRIPTION

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a single-threaded organization that owns the End-to-end Customer experience for heavy and bulky products. AMXL consolidates supply chain, tech, FC operations, transportation, delivery stations, and last mile delivery. We also provide special handling services such as Room of Choice delivery, Haul-Away and Installation/Assembly for select items. AMXL currently has operations in NA & EU, with plans to expand to more countries this year.

AMXL is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to create and manage End to End volume flows such as Inventory, Outbound, Inbound, Transfers, Returns (Vendor and Customer) as per the right site capacities for our fulfillment centers and sort centers by closely working with our retail and operations partners across the globe and optimizing for site level costs.

The Key responsibilities of this position include:
· Working with Retail, Finance, Transportation and Operations partners towards defining supply chain and operating models for AMXL End to End Planning.
· Driving long term demand forecasting and volume metrics to manage fulfillment network flows during each planning cycle (long range plan, annual plan, quarterly guidance, and monthly/quarterly business reviews) and communicating the vision to partner teams.
· Collaborating with Supply chain optimization teams (SCOT) and other business partners to develop the ML models for forecasting, drive improvements to existing methodology and streamline Heavy- bulky metrics across systems and geographies.
· Analyzing the impact of business changes on demand (Product Line/ Product Group level) and continuously improve the forecasting processes by diving deep into the gaps within existing tools and by automation and standardization while working with internal and external stakeholders.
· Interfacing with other functional areas as required (Supply Chain Strategy, Operations Integration, Middle Mile and Last Mile Transportation, Sort Centers, Fulfillment Centers etc.) to define key business requirements for long term inventory planning initiatives such as Inventory segmentation, Placement Optimization, Tiered Topology etc.
· Special Handling Portfolio management and alignment across all internal amazon systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, mathematics, finance, statistics, economics, or other quantitative field.
· 2+ years of data analytics
· Basic knowledge of SQL and Tableau
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
· Demonstrated experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders, cross-functional tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· 3+ years experience in supply chain, transportation, procurement, planning, manufacturing, finance or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, engineering, operations, mathematics or related field.
· 2+ years of experience with supply chain modeling, optimization and other statistical analysis tools.
· Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
· Demonstrate excellent communication skills complemented with the ability to problem solve independently.
· Experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global component supply chains.
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
· 3+ years’ experience working in Supply Chain operations/Transportation/Forecasting and Volume Planning.
