Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sells IOMS products to customers in a defined territory.

2.Identifies and interprets customers analytical requirements and configures IOMS systems to meet them. Build strong customer relationships and work to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Serve as the single point of contact between customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Functions independently and professionally. Responsible for managing personal expense budget, travel arrangements, SFDC accounts and sales funnel. Functions as an involved member of the IOMS team, working with sales, factory, marketing, service, and commercial colleagues. Is aware of and responsive to the conditions that affect the business, including competition (products, pricing, procedures and personnel), customers (individuals, institutions, and funding sources), and of the industries represented by customers. Is responsive to customers needs, as well as to conditions and trends that affect them. Serves as a channel of information to the division about customers, markets and competition. Maintains a positive working relationship with team member and management in a team environment. Utilizes divisional resources in the performance of all responsibilities. Sustain, identify and build collaborrations with key customers. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Specific Scope Data

Responsible for generating over >$5M in IOMS sales annually. In addition, this individual supports the installed Thermo Fisher Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division, mainly IOMS equipment in an assigned territory, as well as providing efficient fiscal management of the sales expense budget.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

* Experience with Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers Required
* Either: Gas Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometers and peripherals, including EA-Isolink, GC-Isolink, Gas Bench, Kiel, and dual inlet
* Or: MC-ICPMS, TIMS, HR-ICPMS, GDMS, HR-GIRMS, Noble Gas
* PhD or MSc Degree preffered in Earth/Geolgoy/Chemistry/Physical Sciences, or equivalent required
* 1-3 years sales experience preferred, but no necessary.
* Must be local to USA, region TBD.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Effective interpersonal and listening skills.
* Accurate forecasting ability.
