JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFKs cross streets is named in his honor.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
1.The LVN II in the Endoscopy Lab assists the RN by gathering data for the patient assessment and contributing to the patient care plan. Under the direction of the RN, the LVN II provides nursing intervention and assists the RN with data for reassessment.
2.The LVN II participates as an interdisciplinary team member for planning and implementation of care.
3.The LVN II uses established GI Lab routines, techniques, skills, and protocols in the care of the patient undergoing Endoscopy and/or other special procedures.
4.The LVN II uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people at all levels, and to maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
5.The LVN II practices independently within the LVN scope of practice under the supervision of the RN.
6.The LVN II serves as a mentor for other skill levels and utilizes critical thinking skills in daily practice.
7.The LVN II participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities and monitoring as required.
