As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer I, your responsibilities may include the following:
1) Establishing supplier quality flow down requirements for components, assemblies or mechanical parts
2) Investigation and resolution of supplier exceptions to material quality requirements.
3) Support Raytheon Approved Suppliers including
* 1. Recommendations for Commodity and Qualification Scope Changes
2. Administration of Supplier Corrective Action Requests
3. Support of Supplier Performance Improvement planning
4) Support Raytheon counterfeit avoidance process requirements including validation of supplier test data.
5) Lead projects in support of supplier quality improvement opportunities.
This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Required Skills:
* 4+ years of experience in a Technical Discipline (such as Engineering or Quality).
* Working knowledge of requirements flow down to suppliers.
* Experience working with engineering drawings and quality engineering concepts.
* Experience in problem solving and coordinating solutions to problems
Desired Skills:
* Understanding and experience with supply chain and procurement processes.
* Understanding of business processes, metrics and the relationship between them.
* Working knowledge of statistical mathematics and statistical process control tools.
* SAP (PRISM) product knowledge and experience preferred.
* Strong / Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Strong facilitating and team-coordination skills including ability to lead / get things accomplished by influence.
* Experience generating, reviewing, and / or implementing policies and procedures.
* General knowledge of aerospace / defense products and systems technologies, regulations and standards.
* Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
* High energy, self-starting team player who achieves results.
* Experience with Quality Management System requirements (ISO9001, AS9100)
* Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Required Education:
BS degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or other technical degree.
